On
December 21-22, 2024, the Treasury
Department, Office of the President,
Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University
organized an academic service training
course, "Precautions in Procurement
and Contract Management that Lead to
Investigations by the Public Sector
Anti-Corruption Commission and the
Anti-Money Laundering Office",
Class 1, at the Royal City Hotel
(Pinklao), Bangkok, which received a lot
of attention from trainees, including
executives of government agencies,
educational institutions, state
enterprises, personnel of government
agencies, general government agencies,
local administrative organizations, and
the general public who are interested in
learning about regulations and laws
related to government
procurement.
The purpose of this
training is to enhance knowledge and
understanding of the government
procurement process to comply with legal
criteria and requirements, as well as
prevent errors that may lead to
investigations by relevant agencies,
which will help reduce operational risks
and enhance good governance for various
agencies. It focuses on providing
knowledge about relevant laws, correct
practices, and case studies from real
situations so that trainees can apply
them to their organizations'
operations effectively.
This
project is in line with the Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs) Goal 16, which
focuses on building a peaceful, just
society with strong institutions. The
training helps promote transparency in
the operations of government agencies,
reduce opportunities for corruption, and
strengthen effective governance
mechanisms. It also helps agencies
operate in accordance with the
principles of good governance, which
will lead to the development of an
efficient civil service system that is
trusted by the public.
This
training not only helps participants
gain a correct understanding of the
procurement process and government
contract management, but is also an
important part in developing the working
mechanisms of government agencies to be
transparent, efficient, and in line with
international standards, which is in
line with Suan Sunandha Rajabhat
University's vision to be a learning
center for sustainable social
development.
